The Moot Court Bench (‘MCB’) in partnership with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce presents ‘Pre-Moot |Sri Lanka 2024’. This Pre-Moot, like all others, is designed as an educational exercise for students to polish up their oral advocacy skills before competing at the Vis Moot in Vienna and its sister moot in Hong Kong.
‘Pre-Moot | Sri Lanka’ returns for the 4th consecutive year and we are excited to announce that it will be held in-person once again!
The Pre-Moot will be held on the 03rd, 04th, 06th & 07th of March 2024 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR TEAMS
Team registration is a three-step process consisting of filling the registration application, payment of the registration fee, and team signing in on the day of.
- Submitting of the application along with the Claimant memorandum.
- A confirmation email will be sent by the Organising Committee confirming your team’s slot at Pre-Moot Sri Lanka along with an invoice to make the payment. Upon receipt of confirmation from the Organising Committee, the team shall have 7 days from the date of our confirmation email to complete the payment of the registration fee of USD 300 (per 4 member team) or USD 250 if eligible for early bird rate. Confirmation of payment must also be provided within the stipulated 7 days, failing of which the Organising Committee shall consider your application as revoked, unless the team communicates otherwise.
- All teams must sign-in on the 03rd of March, upon arrival at the venue of the competition.
The deadline for the submitting a team application is Wednesday, 31st of January 2024, 23:59 (GMT+5:30).
